Washington County School District Crisis Team

THE TASK of the CRISIS TEAM 

The Washington County School District Crisis Team will assist individual school crisis teams in the event of a situation or period in which things are very uncertain, difficult, or painful. 

To assure the safety and well-being of students and staff, the members of the crisis team will use their counseling expertise and trauma and emergency training to comfort and support individuals in their time of need.

The value of having a school-site crisis team enables school personnel to meet the needs of students and faculty members in whom they are acquainted.  Being familiar with  family members, parents, special needs and access to contact information will expediate the healing process.
