Mission

Believing that the Library Media Center is a fundamental part of the educational program of all Washington County District Schools, the mission of the Library Media Center is to encourage, promote, and assist students and teachers so they can be effective and discriminating users of ideas and information, and to foster the reading habit and use of a library for lifelong learning.

Library Media Center Belief Statement

"The school library media centers of our district promote, support, and serve learning activities and curriculum of the schools. Each library media program cultivates an appreciation for literature, provides access to a wide variety of informational resources (print, non-print, online), encourages the use of instructional and educational technology, and affords opportunities for independent investigation and self-directed learning to all its users."
