Secondary Counseling

WASHINGTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT HONORS DIPLOMA

On December 13, 2011, the Washington County School Board gave approval to offer an honors diploma to deserving graduates.  Students will be awarded this distinction at the high school graduation ceremony.  The diploma wil reflect the "Honors" graduation status.  The program follows the Utah Scholars and Regents Scholarship requirements.  Students receiving recognition of the honor's diploma must meet the following criteria:

ACT Scores:                   

  • English [18] 
  • Math [22]
  • Science [24]
  • Reading [21]
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
Course Criteria:
   (Student must earn a "C" or better in each required class)
  • English - 4 credits 
  • Math - 4 progressive credits
  • Science - 3 lab-based credits; Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Social Science - 3.5 credits
  • Foreign Language - 2 progressive credits of the same language
