Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation

Students are considered upon academic achievement, capacity to lead and hours of dedicated community service. Generations of Scholars are now leaders in government, law, education, financial services, and health care, creating visionary changes around the United States and the world. High school seniors are eligible to apply for $3 million in college scholarships: 250 awards are presented annually with 50 scholarships for $20,000 and 200 scholarships for $10,000.

Horatio Alger Utah Scholarship Program

Twenty Five $5,000 scholarships are available. The Horatio Alger Utah Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students in the State of Utah who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity and who aspire to pursue higher education.  In order for an application to be considered complete the applicant's counselor must complete a certifications form online.  An applicant must complete the Academic Information and Adversity Section of the application before their name will apear on the certifications form list online for counselors to complete.  A passcode is required so the counselor should e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. The P.E.O. Sisterhood is an international philanthropic educational organization that promotes educational opportunities for women through grants, loans and scholarships. The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide $2,500 scholarship to high school senior women or women under the age of 20 attending an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the U.S. or Canada, full-time or part-time in the fall of the academic year following high school graduation. Criteria for eligibility include: Exhibit excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics and potential for future success; Must be a graduation senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; Must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada; Recommended by a P.E.O. Chapter


 

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

Honoring outstanding community service by young americans. Top middle level and high school applicants will receive $1,000 and a trip to Washington D.C. National honorees are awarded an additional $5,000.

This opportunity is for students who are interested in becoming a physician. Student will be able to meet doctors and medical student for real hands-on activities such as organ dissections. Students are encouraged to register at the web site. Dates for this experience are: Oct 27, Nov 17 for 2010 - Jan 26, Feb 23, Mar 23, April 27 for 2011. The event will be held from 3 to 5:00 pm at the Health Science3s Education Building Room 1750.

Wendy's High School Heisman

The Wendy's High School Heisman award honors both male and female high school senior students who excel in academics, athletics and student leadership. Student must have a "B" Average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport. If at least five (5) students from one high school submit a completed and reviewed application the school will qualify for a chance to be awarded $500. This pretigious award is a great addition to a student's college application.  Students must register and fill out an online application and select a school administrator to review the application.  The administrator reviewer must complete an online review at the end of the first week in October.
