We are pleased to announce the selection of Lane Hadlock as the new Transportation Director for the Washington County School District. Lane will replace Launi Harden when she retires in February of 2020.
Lane began his transportation career thirty two years ago as a bus driver for Uintah School District. He left after four years to devote his full attention to his custom jewelry business, but he continued to drive for a charter bus company. He returned to Uintah and soon took on additional responsibilities as an instructor, state instructor, and assistant to the coordinator. He has served on state committees and on the Utah Association of Pupil Transportation Board. Last March, Lane was elected President-Elect of the UAPT and was selected as the Washington County School District Transportation Coordinator in May. He is dedicated to a culture of safe, efficient transportation practices.
Lane grew up in Vernal, Utah where he developed a love for the outdoors. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and exploring. His greatest pleasure comes while doing these things with his wife Kris, children, and grandchildren. Lane is excited to be a part of the Washington County School District and looks forward to warm winters in St George.
Please join us in congratulating Lane in his new assignment!
