School Board News - The Washington County School District Board of Education is pleased to announce the selection of Nathan Esplin as the Executive Director of Elementary Education Effectiveness. While the position has changed, Nate will replace Bob Sonju who will open the new Washington Fields Intermediate School. Nate's new assignment begins on March 18th.
Nate grew up in Santa Clara, Utah where he attended Santa Clara Elementary and later graduated from Snow Canyon High School. He received a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education Degree from Southern Utah University. Most recently, he received a PhD in education from Utah State University. Nate started his education career by teaching fourth grade at Coral Cliffs Elementary. He then spent six years as the principal of Sunset Elementary. In 2013 he had the opportunity of helping open Crimson View Elementary.
Nate is the proud father of five boys and one girl. In his free time, he enjoys attending his kids sporting events and watching baseball. He is excited about this new opportunity, but will greatly miss the wonderful school community at Crimson View.
