New Principal - Dixie Middle

We are pleased to announce the selection of Paul Hurt as Principal of Dixie Middle School effective July 1, 2020.  Paul will replace Tim Lowe who is retiring.

Paul graduated from Rifle High School in Rifle, Colorado and enrolled at Ricks College, where he met his future wife Shellie.  He then served a church mission to Puerto Rico.  After returning home, he married Shellie and together they attended Utah State University where he majored in Special Education.  He later earned his Master’s Degree from Southern Utah University.

Paul has spent his career working at Snow Canyon High School where he has been the Assistant Principal for the last 15 years and prior to that taught Special Education for 9 years.

Paul and Shellie have four children, all of whom graduated from Snow Canyon High.  They consider the ten consecutive years of having them at SCHS a wonderful blessing and opportunity.  Outside of school activities, Paul and Shellie enjoy family, friends, and traveling.

Although he feels there is no way to properly share his sentiments, Paul would like to note that his experiences and relationships with his Warrior Family will be valued forever.  He is also excited for new challenges and opportunities as he turns the page to a new chapter as Principal at Dixie Middle School.

Please join us in congratulating Paul!
