Welcome to Child Nutrition Services!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We are proud to serve the students and families of the\u00a0Washington County School District\u00a0in\u00a0St. George, Utah,\u00a0and throughout Washington County. Our team is committed to providing healthy, balanced, and appealing meals each school day in a welcoming and supportive cafeteria environment. We know that nutritious meals fuel learning, growth, and success in the classroom.<\/p>\n

All meals served through our program meet the standards established by the\u00a0United States Department of Agriculture\u00a0(USDA). Our menus are thoughtfully planned to align with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and tailored to meet the nutritional needs of each age group we serve. Students enjoy a variety of options daily, including fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and milk choices that meet federal requirements.<\/p>\n

All schools operate under the Offer vs. Serve model. This means students may take all meal components offered or choose at least 3 of the 5 components, with at least 1 being a fruit or vegetable. This structure encourages choice while ensuring a balanced meal.<\/p>\n

Did you know?<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0If your family qualifies for free or reduced-price meals, your student may also enjoy breakfast through our program. Starting the day with a nutritious breakfast helps students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

We are committed to supporting students with food allergies or special dietary needs. Families requesting accommodations should complete the Special Meal Request Form for the 2025\u20132026 school year and work closely with their manager to ensure appropriate arrangements are made.<\/p>\n

Food safety and sanitation are foundational to our daily operations. Our Child Nutrition Managers and site leads have successfully completed ServSafe food safety training recognized by the Utah Department of Health. Each Child Nutrition professional holds a current Food Handler Permit, and ongoing training ensures that strict food safety standards are consistently upheld.<\/p>\n
