The Washington County Board of Education will hold Public Hearings on Monday, September
16, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Horizon Elementary School and Monday, October 14, 2024, at 4:35
p.m. at Washington County School District Office to receive public comment on two proposed
boundary changes.
The first proposed boundary change affects students living in the Crimson Cliffs Cone Site
(Crimson Cliffs High, Crimson Cliffs Middle, Washington Fields Intermediate, and Horizon
Elementary) that live north of Washington Dam Road. The boundary change proposes these
students would attend the Pine View Cone Site (Pine View High, Pine View Middle, Fossil
Ridge, and Horizon Elementary).
The second proposed boundary change affects the students in the city of Leeds currently
attending Desert Hills High, Desert Hills Middle, and Sunrise Ridge Intermediate. This proposed
change would move secondary students to the Pine View boundary (Pine View High, Pine View
Middle, and Fossil Ridge Intermediate). Elementary age students will still attend Coral Canyon
Elementary.
The proposed changes would be effective in Fall 2025.

School District Website www.washk12.org or at the District Office.
