Washington County School District Fine Arts Department provides its students critical elements of a well-rounded education through the study of drama, dance, music, and visual arts. Our fine arts programs are designed to nourish creative thinking and problem solving, explore new ideas and realities, to foster relationships with both self and others, and to promote arts advocacy.
SUMMER ARTS PROGRAM INFORMATION
It’s time again for the WCSD Summer Arts Program registration! We have grown! The programs are split into two different sessions to allow students to participate in multiple programs. The following will be offered: Jazz Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, Dance, and CHOIR (new this year). Each program is designed for middle grades. You will see slightly different grade ranges for each program (as outlined in the parent email).
This year, our theme is “Passport to the World” with a focus on cultures, artists, composers, and arts experiences around the globe.
What we need from you:
- We have written an email for you to send and it’s attached. Please copy, paste, and send it to the parents along with the flyer attachment. Easy!
- Encourage kids to sign up! THIS IS A GREAT RETENTION TOOL!
- Allow students to keep school-owned instruments (if applicable) through the month of June.
Parents need to click on and fill out the Google Form for the arts discipline(s) they will register for. You can email links (provided below and in the parent email) or direct them to the WCSD Fine Arts website.
- Session 1, June 4-14
- Session 2, June 18-28
Parents pay at the door with check, cash, or credit card. No online payment. Cost is $45 per student. Registration closes May 12th.
Thank you for your support of this program. Be sure to check the attachments for the parent email and the flier.
